Jazzbaida Festival
JAZZBAIDA festival began in 2012 in the city of Albaida, led by Fun Jazz Project with the support of private organisations. Over the years, Albaida Town Council has increased its support for the festival. The first two editions took place in "La Llotgeta", the space of Albaida painter Rafa Amorós; later editions have been held in different open-air spaces around the city.
The festival's main goal is to bring jazz and mestizo music closer to audiences in Albaida and nearby towns, welcoming major figures from the jazz world in each edition.
Over these 10 years, the festival has featured major figures from jazz and other styles such as Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music. Artists and groups include Jose Luis Silvaje and Pep Soler Grup in the first edition, Ross Porta and Ramon Cardo in the second, David Pastor, Joan Soler and Latino in the fourth, violinist Taré Darias in the fifth, Sting and Wonder music in the sixth, pianist Juan Tamarit from Atzeneta and Olga García in the seventh, Raúl García Chocolate in the eighth, and Belgian singer Hille Bemelmans in the ninth.
